Since the characteristics of a luminaire are strongly influenced by the materials used, we attach great importance to the selection of the materials used and only use high-quality raw materials. In addition, we rely on selected finishing processes that give our products that certain something.
MATERIAL & FINISHES
During the product development process, the materials are examined for a variety of properties and also fine-tuned in detail to meet technical requirements, such as thermal conductivity. Furthermore, optical and acoustic properties are taken into account in the development process.
Depending on the luminaire type, up to ten basic surface finishes are available for the refinement. Almost all SATTLER luminaires are made of high-quality aluminium, which is given its individual colour through a high-quality refinement process, such as powder coating for the basic surfaces.
These are joined by exclusive premium surface finishes, such as hand-polished or brushed aluminium. These extraordinary basic surfaces are complemented by our individual surfaces. Particularly noteworthy here, among other things, are our brushed and then anodised luminaires in elegant silver, bronze, black or champagne gold, which are especially available in the PALITO series and the PALADIO linear luminaire even as standard surface colours. As well as the finishing with leather or real wood veneer.
We also regularly fulfil individual customer requests and work with valued suppliers to create the desired look.
Our luminaires owe their clear design language largely to the details incorporated into the luminaires. These can be found both in the design and in the technical implementation, and we ensure that each part blends into the overall picture. Thus, our luminaires feature numerous harmonious transitions of different materials and workpieces. Another special feature is the option of choosing current-carrying steel cable suspensions instead of thick supply lines (for luminaires up to a diameter of 1900 mm), which makes them appear to float in the room, giving them a unique lightness.
Various elements are assigned multiple functions here. This is the case, for example, with the SLIM TABLE. Here, the aluminium lluminaire body is not only used as a housing and heat sink, but also provides the contact surface for the built-in touch dimmer and also delivers on the look and feel that its appearance already promises. The individual elements are thus deliberately designed with a minimalist design in mind, contributing to the elegant and timeless aesthetics of our luminaires.
