Personal data (usually referred to just as ‘data’ below) will be processed by us only to the extent necessary and for the purpose of providing a functional and user-friendly website, including its contents, and the services offered there.
According to Art. 4 No. 1 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, i.e. the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter referred to as the ‘GDPR’), ‘processing’ refers to any operation or set of operations such as collection, recording, organisation, structuring, storage, adaptation, alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination, or otherwise making available, alignment, or combination, restriction, erasure, or destruction performed on personal data, whether by automated means or not. such as collection, recording, organisation, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction.
The following data protection declaration is intended to inform you in particular about the type, scope, purpose, duration and legal basis of the processing of personal data, insofar as we either alone or together with others decide on the purposes and means of processing. In addition, we will inform you below about the third-party components we use for optimisation purposes and to increase the quality of use, insofar as this results in third parties processing data on their own responsibility.
Our data protection declaration is structured as follows
I. Information about us as controllers
II. Rights of users and data subjects
III. Information about data processing
I. Information about us as controllers
The party responsible for this website (the ‘controller’) for purposes of data protection law is:

You can contact our data protection officer at any time with any data protection concerns.
II. Rights of users and data subjects
With regard to the data processing described in more detail below, users and data subjects have the right
- - to confirmation of whether or not data concerning them is being processed, information about the data being processed, further information about the data processing and copies of the data (see also Art. 15 GDPR);
- - to the rectification or completion of inaccurate or incomplete data (see also Art. 16 GDPR);

In addition, the provider is obliged to inform all recipients to whom data has been disclosed by the provider about any correction or deletion of data or the restriction of processing that is carried out on the basis of Articles 16, 17 (1), 18 GDPR. However, this obligation does not apply if this notification is impossible or involves a disproportionate effort. Regardless of this, the user has a right to information about these recipients.
Likewise, according to Art. 21 GDPR, users and data subjects have the right to object to the future processing of their data, provided that the data is processed by the provider in accordance with Art. 6 (1) point f GDPR. In particular, an objection to data processing for the purpose of direct advertising is permissible.
III. Information on data processing
Your data processed when using our website will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of storage no longer applies, the deletion of the data does not conflict with any statutory storage requirements and no other information is provided below regarding individual processing methods.
We would like to point out that Internet-based data transmission has security gaps, so complete protection against access by third parties is impossible.
Cookies
a) Session cookies
We use so-called cookies on our website. Cookies are small text files or other storage technologies that are stored on your end device by the internet browser you use. These cookies process certain information about you, such as your browser or location data or your IP address, to an individual extent.
This processing makes our website more user-friendly, efficient, and secure, allowing us, for example, to display our website in different languages or to offer a shopping cart function.
The legal basis for such processing is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b) GDPR, insofar as these cookies are used to collect data for the purpose of contract initiation or contract execution.
If the processing does not serve the purpose of contract initiation or contract execution, our legitimate interest lies in improving the functionality of our website. The legal basis is then Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR.
When you close your internet browser, these session cookies are deleted.
b) Third-party cookies
Where applicable, our website may also use cookies from partner companies with whom we cooperate for the purpose of advertising, analysing or improving the functionality of our website.
Please refer to the following information for details, in particular for the purposes and legal basis of the processing of such third-party cookies.
c) Removal option
You can prevent or restrict the installation of cookies by adjusting the settings on your internet browser. You can also delete cookies that have already been stored at any time. However, the steps and measures required for this depend on the specific internet browser you are using. If you have any questions, please use the help function or consult the documentation for your internet browser or contact its manufacturer or support team. However, in the case of so-called flash cookies, processing cannot be prevented by adjusting the browser settings. Instead, you will need to change the setting of your Flash player. The steps and measures required for this also depend on the Flash player you are actually using. If you have any questions, please also use the help function or documentation for your Flash player or contact the manufacturer or user support.
However, if you prevent or restrict the installation of cookies, this may mean that not all the functions of our website are fully usable.
Server data
For technical reasons, in particular to ensure a secure and stable internet presence, data is transmitted to us or to our web space provider by your internet browser. These server log files record the type and version of your browser, operating system, the website from which you came (the referrer URL), the webpages on our site visited, the date and time of your visit, as well as the IP address from which you visited our site.
The data collected in this way is stored temporarily, but not in association with any other of your data.
The basis for this storage is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the improvement, stability, functionality and security of our website.
The data will be deleted within no more than seven days unless continued storage is required for evidentiary purposes. Otherwise, all or part of the data will be excluded from deletion until the investigation of the relevant incident has been finally resolved.
Newsletter
If you register for our free newsletter, the data requested from you for this purpose, i.e. your email address and, optionally, your name and address, will be transmitted to us. At the same time, we store the IP address of the internet connection from which you access our website, as well as the date and time of your registration. As part of the further registration process, we will obtain your consent to receive the newsletter, describe the content specifically and refer you to this data protection declaration. We use the data collected in this way exclusively for sending the newsletter – in particular, it is not passed on to third parties.
The legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1) point a GDPR.
You can withdraw your consent to receive the newsletter at any time with effect for the future in accordance with Art. 7 (3) GDPR. To do so, you just need to inform us of your withdrawal of consent or click on the unsubscribe link contained in each newsletter.
Newsletter tracking
The SATTLER GmbH newsletters contain so-called tracking pixels. A tracking pixel is a miniature graphic embedded in emails sent in HTML format to enable log file recording and log file analysis. This allows a statistical evaluation of the success or failure of online marketing campaigns. Based on the embedded tracking pixel, the SATTLER GmbH may see if and when an e-mail was opened by a data subject, and which links in the e-mail were called up by data subjects.
Such personal data collected in the tracking pixels contained in the newsletters are stored and analysed by the controller in order to optimise the delivery of the newsletter and to better adapt the content of future newsletters to the interests of the data subject. These personal data will not be passed on to third parties. Data subjects are entitled at any time to revoke the separate declaration of consent given via the double opt-in procedure. After a revocation, this personal data will be deleted by the person responsible for processing. The SATTLER GmbH automatically regards a cancellation of the receipt of the newsletter as a revocation.
Contact requests / contact options
If you contact us using the contact form or by email, the data you provide will be used to process your request. The data is required for processing and answering your request – without it, we cannot answer your request or can only answer it to a limited extent.
The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b) GDPR.
Your data will be deleted once we have fully answered your enquiry and there is no further legal obligation to store your data, such as if an order or contract resulted therefrom.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics on our website. This is a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 (hereinafter: Google).
Through certification according to the EU-US Privacy Shield, available at https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active, Google guarantees that it will follow the EU's data protection regulations when processing data in the United States.
The Google Analytics service is used to analyse the usage behaviour of our website. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the analysis, optimisation and economic operation of our website.
Usage and user-related information, such as IP address, location, time or frequency of visits to our website, is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, we use Google Analytics with the so-called anonymisation function. This function means that Google already shortens the IP address within the EU or the EEA.
The data collected in this way is in turn used by Google to provide us with an evaluation of visits to our website and the usage activities there. This data can also be used to provide further services related to the use of our website and the use of the internet.
Google states that it will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. In addition, Google provides further information under https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/partners for you, for example, on how to prevent the use of data.
Deactivation add-on
In addition, Google offers a so-called deactivation add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de, along with further information. This add-on can be installed on the most popular browsers and offers you further control over the data that Google collects when you visit our website. The add-on informs Google Analytics' JavaScript (ga.js) that no information about the website visit should be transmitted to Google Analytics. However, this does not prevent information from being transmitted to us or to other web analytics services we may use as detailed herein.

Use of Google Maps
We use the ‘Google Maps’ component from Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter ‘Google’, on our site.
Each time the Google Maps component is accessed, Google sets a cookie in order to process user settings and data when the page on which the Google Maps component is integrated is displayed. This cookie is usually not deleted when you close your browser, but expires after a certain period of time, unless you delete it manually beforehand.
If you do not agree to this processing of your data, you have the option to deactivate the ‘Google Maps’ service and thus prevent the transmission of data to Google. To do this, you must deactivate the JavaScript function in your browser. However, we would like to point out that in this case you will not be able to use ‘Google Maps’ or only to a limited extent.
Use of Google Maps and the information obtained via Google Maps is subject to the Google Terms of Use http://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/terms/regional.html
and the additional Terms and Conditions for Google Maps https://www.google.com/intl/de_de/help/terms_maps.html.
Use of Google Adwords
We also use the Google advertising tool "Google Adwords" to promote our website. As part of this, we use the "Conversion Tracking" analysis service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter "Google", on our website. If you have reached our website via a Google ad, a cookie will be placed on your computer. Cookies are small text files that your internet browser stores and saves on your computer. These so-called ‘conversion cookies’ lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for your personal identification. If you visit certain pages of our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can recognise that you, as a user, have clicked on one of our ads placed on Google and have been redirected to our site.
The information obtained using the "conversion cookies" is used by Google to create visitor statistics for our website. These statistics tell us the total number of users who clicked on our ad and also which pages of our site were subsequently accessed by the respective user. However, we and others who advertise through "Google Adwords" do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users.
You can prevent the installation of "conversion cookies" by adjusting your browser settings accordingly, for example by using a browser setting that generally deactivates the automatic setting of cookies or specifically only blocks cookies from the domain "googleadservices.com".
You can access Google's privacy policy at the following link: https://services.google.com/sitestats/de.html
Use of YouTube components
We use components from the provider YouTube on our site. We also maintain an online presence on YouTube to present our company and our services and to communicate with customers/prospects. YouTube is a service provided by Google, Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, a subsidiary of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA.
In this respect, we would like to point out that there is a possibility that user data may be processed outside the European Union, in particular in the USA. This may result in increased risks for users in that, for example, subsequent access to user data may be made more difficult. Furthermore, we do not have access to this user data. The access option lies exclusively with YouTube.
Each time one of our web pages that contains such a component is accessed, the component prompts the browser you are using to download a corresponding display of the YouTube component.
YouTube's privacy policy can be found at: https://www.youtube.com/intl/ALL_de/howyoutubeworks/user-settings/privacy/

Use of LinkedIn recommendation components
We use components of the LinkedIn network on our site. LinkedIn is a service of the LinkedIn Corporation, 2029 Stierlin Court, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Each time you visit our website that has such a component, that component causes the browser you are using to download a corresponding display of the LinkedIn component.
This process informs LinkedIn which specific page of our website is currently being visited. If you click the LinkedIn "Recommend" button while you are logged into your LinkedIn account, you can link the contents of our pages to your LinkedIn profile. This enables LinkedIn to associate your visit to our pages with your LinkedIn user account.
We have no influence on the data that LinkedIn collects in this way, nor on the extent of the data collected by LinkedIn. We also have no knowledge of the content of the data transmitted to LinkedIn. Details on data collection by LinkedIn and your rights and setting options can be found in LinkedIn's data protection information. If you access our site while you are logged into Vimeo, Vimeo uses the information collected by the component to identify which specific page you are visiting and associates this information with your personal account at Vimeo. If you click on the "Play" button, for example, or leave comments, this information will be transmitted to your personal Vimeo account and stored there. In addition, the information that you have visited our site will be passed on to Vimeo. This happens regardless of whether you click on the components or leave comments or not.

Online job applications / publication of job advertisements
We offer you the opportunity to apply for a job with us via our website. When you submit a digital application, we collect and process your applicant and application data electronically in order to carry out the application process.
The legal basis for this processing is § 26 para. 1 p. 1 BDSG in conjunction with Art. 88 para. 1 DSGVO.
If an employment contract is concluded after the application process, we will store the data you provided during the application process in your personnel file for the purpose of the usual organisational and administrative processes – naturally in compliance with further legal obligations.
The legal basis for this processing is also § 26 para. 1 p. 1 BDSG in conjunction with Art. 88 para. 1 DSGVO.
If an application is rejected, we automatically delete the data transmitted to us six months after the notification of rejection. However, the deletion does not take place if the data requires a longer storage period of up to six months or until the conclusion of legal proceedings due to legal provisions, e.g. due to the burden of proof under the AGG.
The legal basis in this case is Art. 6 (1) point f GDPR and § 24 (1) no. 2 BDSG. Our legitimate interest lies in legal defence and enforcement.
If you explicitly consent to a longer storage period for your data, for example for your inclusion in a database of applicants or interested parties, the data will be processed further on the basis of your consent. The legal basis for this is then Art. 6 (1) point a GDPR. However, you can of course revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by making a declaration to us in accordance with Art. 7 (3) GDPR.
Information/revocation/deletion
On the basis of the Federal Data Protection Act, you can contact us free of charge if you have questions regarding the collection, processing or use of your personal data and its correction, blocking, deletion or revocation of a given consent. We would like to point out that you have the right to have incorrect data corrected or personal data deleted, should this claim not be precluded by any legal obligation to retain it.
