AVVENI series

Lighting structure with flat, round, movable light heads

THE STORY

Minimalist, large-scale circular elements and their variations are the defining style elements of the SATTLER product portfolio. As a creative mind, Ulrich Sattler draws inspiration from a wide range of forms and technologies. This may be an affinity for iconic Italian automotive design and its striking lines, or an intense awareness of elements of his daily environment in nature and technology. The magnetic ball connector, for example, is modelled on the human shoulder joint. Added to this is the modularity, which resembles a cell structure, from the single-celled organism to the complex structure.

ULRICH SATTLER AND MICHAEL SCHMIDT

With Ulrich Sattler and Michael Schmidt, two creative minds have come together to realise the AVVENI vision in a pioneering lighting concept. Ulrich Sattler is always looking for new ways to implement these in clear forms. The second creative mind, Michael Schmidt, owner of the Stuttgart design studio code2design, works internationally as an industrial and product designer for well-known brands. He sees himself as a design author who translates stories into products.

The AVVENI was honoured with the international FOCUS OPEN GOLD design award for its outstanding design and functionality and is the winner of the 2017 German Design Award.

FORM AND COLOUR

Whether a floor, pendant or ceiling luminaire, the structure of the AVVENI luminaire series is characterised by modularity and a clear design language. Fine curves and transitions, coordinated radii and angle elements create a harmonious overall picture in every combination.

The exciting combination of a reduced design vocabulary, the elegant feel of the surfaces and variable colouring results in a high degree of flexibility when it comes to adapting to the respective room architecture. In addition to the selected colour of the luminaire, consisting of the structure and ring of the luminaire head, polished, black or white lacquered, the colour of the luminaire head cover can be individually selected: With a fine polish, in gold, black and silver, elegant combinations are possible.

FLEXIBILITY

The magnetic ball-and-socket joint connector is the central connecting element with maximum freedom of movement. Between the lamp structure and the interchangeable lamp head, it is modelled on the human shoulder joint and ensures a secure hold in every position. Unlimited mobility, rotatable and pivotable. The ball-bearing lamp head of the AVVENI series follows your every move. The magnetic connection guarantees a firm hold. Simply unplug the plug on the light ring to remove the magnet and replace the lamp head at any time. By combining different lamp heads, creative lighting solutions can be realised.

TECHNOLOGY

Hidden invisibly in the head of the AVVENI, the technology of the luminaire guarantees a high degree of flexibility, efficiency and sustainability. The latest full-spectrum LED technology with an unprecedented colour rendering index of > 95 is particularly energy-efficient and reproduces colour gradations and contrasts excellently. In addition, the integrated dimming enables each individual lamp head to be controlled separately. With the AVVENI spotlight lamp head, area and spotlight can be switched independently of each other and dimmed individually.

LIGHT HEAD

The luminaires in the AVVENI system can be fitted with two different luminaire heads. FLOOD and SPOT luminaire heads can be changed at any time, even retrospectively. It is also possible to use different luminaire types in one structure.

Luminaire head with FLOOD emission and circular prismatic disc for soft, homogeneous light emission. Available in the light colours 2700K, 3000K and 4000K and 17W LED output.

Luminaire head with SPOT distribution for effective accent lighting and all-round area lighting.

Natural elements as inspiration for technical innovation. The magnetic ball joint, modelled on the human shoulder joint, is the central connecting element between the structure and the luminaire head, allowing maximum flexibility, adjustability and individuality of light control.

The comprehensive series programme includes structures ranging from single luminaires to 18-head structures, pendant and surface-mounted versions, spotlights and downlights, floor and table lamps that can be harmoniously combined for a wide variety of lighting situations.
