SATTLER has transformed a simple tube light into a light sculpture that now illuminates the new Prinzing headquarters – poetically and dynamically.

Prinzing Elektrotechnik GmbH in Eislingen near Stuttgart stands for high-quality craftsmanship in electrical engineering solutions. SATTLER, from nearby Göppingen, has impressively equipped the new Prinzing headquarters with the PALITO pendant luminaire. In the foyer, which is almost as high as the building, and in the company canteen and café, the light rods, which appear to be floating, show off their full potential as a spatial object.

Seventeen standard-sized Palitos are suspended in front of the company canteen. The oversized palito sticks were specially developed for the Prinzing atrium, which is 16 metres high, and a scheme for hanging the six ‘palito bunches’, each consisting of 12 individual lights just under two metres long, was developed. In this custom-made design, each individual light is also suspended only from an off-centre cable per light.

Light sculpture – surface arrangement – light ceiling

A little industrial charm, clinker brick walls inside and out, bright, open, with the claim of high quality and the innovative strength of modern craftsmanship – this is what the new company headquarters of Prinzing Elektrotechnik GmbH in Eislingen, around 50 km from Stuttgart, conveys.

Visitors first enter the building through a narrow entrance, a kind of tunnel, pleasantly and brightly lit by a light ceiling element, before the foyer opens up with a grand gesture, flooded with abundant natural light. Here, visitors feel as if they are in an urban square, with different areas, cosy seating corners, opportunities for informal exchanges, coffee breaks or simply to let their thoughts run free.
