A wide variety of lighting

The colourfully stocked shelves of the Material Bank shine in all the beautiful and real colours and structures thanks to high-quality light fixtures from SATTLER.

Innovation, variety and quality are made tangible here for material professionals from architecture, interior design, design, trade and industry. On the basis of samples, collections, innovations, products and experiments, creatives can find plenty of inspiration for new ideas and solutions for their projects when browsing independently or on a booked tour.

Since 2019, the materials agency raumprobe, founded in 2005 by Hannes Bäuerle and Joachim Stumpp, has been based in a former and now completely renovated industrial hall. The material database that was originally founded as raumprobe has been expanded and has now been merged with the Material Bank, which means that, among other things, an even faster way to order online and a worldwide sample dispatch of an even larger selection is possible.

SATTLER shares a passion for special materials, and so the company has found partners with many shared values and interests. Just like SATTLER, raumprobe always sees the big picture, and both companies consider good lighting to be important for presenting the exhibits in the right light.

The lighting concept

Light for every aspect of use

SATTLER was already represented at the previous location and this time was involved in the planning at a very early stage. This meant that the lighting concept could be optimally implemented and special accents could be set in the new premises using a wide variety of luminaires.

Timelessly modern

From functional to playful

The idea behind the sophisticated concept was to provide harmonious ambient lighting that allows for individual spot lighting at any time.

"We created the lighting design in the rooms we had equipped, taking into account all aspects of use, e.g. a cosier ambience in the lounge, flexible light in the temporary exhibition and planar light in the meeting room", explains Sven Sattler, managing director, together with his father Ulrich Sattler, founder of SATTLER GmbH.

The Cosy Lounge Area

The individual rooms flow seamlessly into one another – the light helps to accentuate individual areas. The AVVENI pendant luminaire, for example, discreetly sets the meeting situation in the appropriate light, while behind it, the SOFT DELTA light swing catches the eye.

The Coffee Corner

Arranged for mobile use, the elegant and simple PALITO pendant luminaire creates a pleasant atmosphere in the café area.
Above the coffee counter, the AVVENI PENDANT 1, flexibly positioned in a track system, provides the right working light on the counter.

The Special

Instead of a classic showroom, SATTLER has succeeded in presenting a lighting concept at raumprobe that makes light directly tangible. In the entrance area, the SOFT DELTA light wing invites you to physically interact with the medium of light.

SATTLER is one of the interior finishing partners whose products most characterise the new premises of the material agency raumprobe / Material Bank in Stuttgart.

The modular FAVO (THE) LIGHT NET offers the ideal flexibility for lighting the area for changing exhibitions on the upper floor.
The Avveni luminaire, which is also on display in a number of different versions, provides ideal illumination of the pathways and the reception and café counters.
Minimalist in design and versatile in planning, the LED pendant luminaire Gioco, developed by Theophil Eichler and Ulrich Sattler, is used in the meeting and training rooms on the ground floor and partially integrates highly effective sound absorbers.
Ideal for meeting rooms like the ones here on the ground floor of the raumprobe is the Gioco pendant luminaire, which also integrates a highly effective sound absorber. Developed by Theophil Eichler and Ulrich Sattler, the LED pendant luminaire was named a ‘Winner’ of the Red Dot Design Awards 2018.

Inviting variety

"The concept for the lighting in the new materials world is largely the result of Sattler's creative input," says a satisfied Hannes Bäuerle.

And visitors are also impressed by the extensive materials world, which, thanks to the open window front, can be seen from afar at night, with the 10-metre DUETTO in the upper floor, inviting you in.
